Founded in 1992, Bourne End Auction Rooms is an established auction house in the Buckinghamshire / Berkshire area, known as a friendly provincial sale room who pride themsleves on providing an efficient and friendly service. They hold weekly and monthly auctions for a range of items from home furnishings to antiques and rare coins. The company also provides professional valuation services people looking to sell their rare collectible items.

The Challenge

Bourne End Auction Rooms came to us looking to improve their online advertising strategy after having seen underwhelming results with their Google Ads account. Previously, their campaigns had minimal impact, leading to a low return on investment (ROI). We were tasked to transform their Google Ads account and get more results, ensuring a higher ROI and a better engagement rate with their target audience.

The Solution

Our approach to Bourne End Auction Rooms’ challenges, was to relaunch their Google Ads account with new, more structured search campaigns along with refined and targeted keywords. We created compelling ad copy to resonate with their target audience as well as multiple call to actions (CTA’s) and promoting the company’s unique selling points. As standard, we review all search terms and keep a full negative keyword list to stop unwanted spend on irrelevant clicks, therefore helping to maximise their budget. This resulted in steady increase in conversion rate over the next year, since working with us we have taken this rate to 4x what they were originally getting, on top of this by using a more refined targeting strategy we have managed to increase their click through rate by 6x more. We look to continue to improve their ads and refine their audience to bring them more success in the future!


Recently, Urban Media have helped us see some of our best results with new items coming in. We have had £40,000 worth of coins entered into our auctions, and they found us through Google. Over the last holiday period we have had higher than usual contacts in regards to specific campaigns run in Google Ads, so we are really pleased.
