Jackie Palmer Academy Website Design & Digital Marketing

The Jackie Palmer Academy is a Musical Theatre Academy in High Wycombe. They teach Voice, Dance and Acting to school students. Their goals are to nourish talent, build confidence, and support everyone’s journey, no matter their destination.

The Challenge

One of the challenges facing Jackie Palmer Academy was finding ways to fill their classrooms. They were not growing their online enquiries and registrations. Website visitor numbers were not as large as would be needed, and the conversion rate for the site was low.

The Solution

Jackie Palmer Academy was interested in gaining conversions (enquiries and registrations). Their site when we began looking into helping was functional but wasn’t delivering results. Our research into their target audiences showed that we needed a site that would appeal to both students and parents while conveying the dramatic and caring nature of what they offered. We designed a new website that did just that, while also placing Calls to Action in strategic places to encourage conversion. We also began an SEO programme around the key phrases known to be used by those audiences. By driving up the rankings of those key phrases (pushing them up to the top of Google page 1) we improved their uptake of students.

Two months after beginning the SEO work on the new site, key phrases on page 1 of Google’s search results went from 6 to 12. Conversions rose from 0 to 4 in a month.

One year later, key phrases on page 1 rose from 12 to 22, and conversions from 4 to 10 in a month.

At that same time, they informed us that they already had more applications for the next year (beginning 9 months later) than they’d had in the entire previous year.
